anyone ever thought about using one?I got a front 60 and looked for a 14bolt rear. But came on a smoking deal on a ford rear 60 with factory disc brakes for $200 with the same gear ratio as my front 60.Just thought I would ask before I bought it.Thanks

It's closer to a 10 bolt strength wise than it is to a FF 14 bolt, so kinda depends what you're doing with the truck.

I thought most or all were full floating, the semi floating D60's typically have 35 spline shafts and are stronger in the axle shaft department for sure.

That would be good to check.

just be aware that the full float version used in the late model (99 and newer I believe) use a wierd spline count (I believe it is 32 spline) my best friend has one in his cj8 and we just assumed it was 30 spline. This severly limits differential options without also changing axleshafts to 35 spline (what he is doing.)

Its full float and it is a 60.It also has the 32 spline shafts. But its going in my dd burb.I just thought it was a plus that it had factory disc brakes and matching gear as my front 60.I only run 35-37 inch tires.
