Ford Exploder 4wd problems

Figured Id ask here since your all gear heads and Exploders make decent family Utes. Anyhow problem is on a 2000 Exploder 4wd,auto,V8( I think). When its cold out and you start driving it starts flashing its 4wd low light,slow down or stop and it actually goes into 4wd low. Cant imagine this actually happening doin 65 . At any rate the dealer has had the thing for a week now and still have no idea whats wrong with it. Anyone heard of this before?

Check the motor that switches the transfer case. You may have a wire grounding out going to it. You may have to hard wire a new switch in if you cann find it.
