I Got A Buddy That Has A Ford Dana 44 With 4:10 Gears And A Broken Axel Shaft, He Upgraded To A Dana60 But Said I Could Have The 44, It Has A Lockright Locker In It, Could I Use It In My Chevy 44 With 4:56 Gears?

I thought fords had the pumpkin on the other side? Or do you just want to use the locker? If so the spline count would have to be the same and I think they are the same carrier from 4:10 and up?

Can't use the entire axle, as stated, they're on the other side.

If he broke an axleshaft, the locker may be broken.

The carrier break is 3.92 and up.

he broke the ujoint behind the hub, you can see it, i was wanting to pull the locker out of the ford 44 w/4:10s and stick it into my blazers 44 w/ 4:56s does anyone know if the splines are the same count? is it a direct swap?

Yes they're both 30 spline, it'll be fine.

Be sure to check and make sure the locker isn't broken from the shattered axleshaft......the shock loading is what breaks the lockers, not actual parts shattering it.
