yes ford was stupid with bell patterns and engine mounts, but imagine all t cases bolting to all transmissions (most all) with no adapter, tailshaft, or input shaft changes.

My edit messed up. I found a decent sounding 390 on craigslist, was in contact with the guy, but then he sold it the next day. Not sure why my edit dropped the first part.
