Ford shock mount?

How long is the ford shock mount on the 8?-88 f250 and f350?We have 5 F350's all '90 and newer and the shock mounts on them are "14 long.are the older ones longer,shorter or the same?Also any one who has these on thier rig where is the best place for the bottom of the shock to mount?Brady

yes they are about 14" long

I have a set in the garage, but havent put them in yet. I plan on using the stock location on the axle for the bottom mount. Shawn has some pics of when he mounted his.
