Anybody have a pic of them mounted on the front of a K5? Also a part # on them. I'm not talking about the old F250 towers. These are on the new SD's and are not the same.

Ford Super Duty Shock towers

I know the towers your talking about Wayne. I was admiring those on the last SD I worked on when I was still doing body work. They are WAY pricey compared to the old towers tho, I priced them a few months ago when the parts guy couldnt find the old towers. I dont remember how much they were but it made me find the # for the old towers. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Isn't that what SIDSLC has on his big camo Blazer? I recall seeing an "unusual" mount on his at BlazerBash.....

Are they better than the older version?
If they're the ones I'm thinking of, they are a cast part.....they are probably stronger, but mostly they just look WAY cooler!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Well shoot, I just barley finished installing the older style! Oh well, they were only like $12 at teh Ford Place.

Yeah, I think you ar right. I think the new ones have the mount for the shock pointed out with a pin for the top of the shock. Not sure so that's what I'm tring to find out.

you are right. They are from the new super duty and available at the ford dealership for about $25 each. They are really long though and would interfere with the steering coloumn if pointed at stock angle, so they'ld need to be clocked back some. I've got some that I haven't isntalled. I'll post a pic as soon as I reinstall Adobe Photoshop. It's messed up right now and I can't do anything with pictures.
