Anybody running one in their k5 or have one under their towrig and want to tell me how long it is, and what tranny/tcase you are running? Brand new one at the stealership runs about from 250-300 depending on auto or stick drw or srw...I just don't know the differences in the fords to know what I should be looking for. I'm sure that they can be had cheaper somewhere else...junkyard, ebay, etc. I guess I would want the longest one possible cause I figure that it would need to be cut shorter anyway, but I dunno...

Thanks in advance.

i bought that same shaft off ebay from that guy. came within a couple days. its a quality shaft. i dont have it measured but it looked to be bout 7" longer than the stock k5 (700r4/208) shaft i have now i plan to run that in the rear once i do the sye on the 241 i just bought.

I picked up two at the junk for my blazer for $300. The 03 and newer f-250 front driveshafts.

Whats the difference between the 03 and newer over the 99-02 super duty's?

Unless I am mistaken, 02 and down are 1330 cv's. Flex the same as 1350, just not quite as strong.

I'll have to measure the one on my 2000 Super Duty.

there isnt much slip, maybe 5-6" total but it should be fine for a rear shaft, dont know if it would work with a flexy front

I dont have any lenght numbers right handy but the Ford 1350 shafts will need to be shortened for use in a GM front.

I have gotten a couple of the new ebay Ford 1350 shafts and they are well worth the money and the seller is good to deal with. They are not made by Spicer but all the joints are 1350s and they have a 2" pilot.
You should be able to get a couple of degrees better angle out of them with alittle grinding on the H part of the CV without taking it apart where as the Spicer ones are restricted internally.
Again I dont have any #s handy and its been a couple months since I was messing around with them on the bench but could probably dig out my angle finder and camera again!
