The second picture is jacked up and I dont know how to fix it but it really show the bushing deflection. It is a known issue with these towers but I do not see it being that big of a factor. Besides you can always replace bushings. The mounts are bolted with 3 grade 5 1/2" bolts with serated flanged nuts. The forward portion of the tower is at 12.5 Deg. and gives me about 5-5.5" uptravel:D . I am using Gabrial G63438.

Here are a couple more 1 from the front and 1 to show the clearance between the factory steering arm and the shock.

I need to get to washers and 2 nuts for the upper stud still I believe they are 12MM:D. Now I just got to get the rear tabs welded on the axle and get the shocks on the rear, 56s with shackle flip and no shocks rides REALLY soft:D .

Any comments on how I did or what you would have done different post up for the next guy who does this.:D

Fully compressed to fully extended looks to be about 12".
I got them from Ebay by searching for the part# With shipping from New York and 4 shocks it was just under $67.:D

Here is a link to the auction. It is a store front so I bought 1 set waited 5 min for the repost and bought the second set. By doing this and using the link the store sends you to pay you save on shipping as they will ship the second set for only $2.:D

yep i got those up front, got them at autozone for about $17 a piece

What shock tower is that ??? It's not the same one in the Product Reviews here. Is it a replacement for-1980 Ford F-250 Shock Towers
Part number E5TZ-18183-A
???

Just wondering ? Thanks.

i like those alot better them the old style ones i have
also to fix the bushing angle you could put a cuple washer's inbetween the frame and the mount

The towers are from a Superduty prior to the coil spring style. I think 2001-2005.

I bought them from the classified section on here.:D

I am curious if I need to do anything to the bushing angle as several people on here run them that way and have not reported any negative effects. I am sure the bushing will wear early but is it a significant amount?

stock steering arm;)

IM gonna do what you did. I forgot all about this mod. Nice work. So it was all under or around 100 bucks, INCLUDING the shocks, AND the towers. What a deal.

I paid $45 for my towers on here and $67 for all 4 shocks and then maybe $5 for nuts and bolts. So for the front alone I am in for $83.50:D .

I did not have the other kind but as far as installation these are cake:D . The only thing is the angle of the stud so it tweaks the bushing but I am not really concerned about that.
