For those that are interested here is the link to the Forest Service initial report on the trails in the Hayman area. It includes four different plans as to the action that might be taken. These plans range for close everything to keep everything open. It is my understanding that currently the Forest Service would like to keep open Longwater and Hackett, but close down the connecting road between the two and also close Metberry. The link to "Roads to be Analyzed under this Project" covers what appears to be the initial recommendation of the Forest Service study group.

There is a link on the website for e-mail input from the public. Input is needed from those that have used this area in the past, or would like to in the future. If you don't speak up your voice won't be heard and certianly won't be counted.

Looks like that is what they want, or at least thats what I got from the map. Judging by that picture of hackett gulch on the website I would say we're lucky to still have it open! Cant wait for that obstacle!
