who makes a good forged aluminum beadlock wheel? I know TRs and Walker Evan's rims prolly are... anyone else though?

Goudy is supposed to make a forged alloy beadlock...... Poly Perfomrance carries Goudy. They dont have the Alum wheels listed yet, but there was talking about Goudy making them.

Confirmed, they are available and I think are rotary forged...

here's a link to the POR thread:

Pics of the alum wheel on page 4...

And supposedly they are DOT compliant.

Some more info:

Also Stazworks make single and double aluminum beadlocks....

Another good thread to check out is:

Ultimate Beadlock Listing on POR

Whats up with TR's pricing??? Their steel wheel prices are outragoues compared to others lately! You could buy a Champion beadlock wheel(which is aluminum) for the price of TR's steel wheels. And Champion has been around a long time and does great work!

Ok, here's some more info. LOL

TR's aluminum wheels are Cast, not forged unless you get the 17x8's.... And Walker Evans wheels are Cast also...

I guess I am just a post whore today! /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

Champion will also add beadlocks to any(i think) aluminum wheel that you send them. They cut off the outer lips, weld ont he beadlock lip and ship it back...

any idea how much they charge for this?

surprised to hear that the biggest names use cast wheels... does the locking rong provide that much protection that you can beat a cast AL rim senseless on rocks with no siginificant effect or...?

Hutchinson makes the ones used on civvy Hummers (H1's).
DOT-approved.
Supposedly like $600+ per wheel though...

Call up OMF beadlocks they will do any kind of forged AL wheels you want. I think it was in the 250.00 range per wheel. Course you have to supply the wheels, so a used set of welds would be a good start. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

With Evans BL's, the wheel is cast with the ring intergrated in.. So I magine it would be stronger than your normal welded on beadlock ring.... And if Walker went that route, I am sure they are strong...

Last time I saw a figure on Champion doing rings on wheels sent in, it was like $150 per wheel.. I think...

*UPDATE* Champion charges(according to their site):

15" - $177.50
16" - $189.00
17" - $199.00
