My 350 is still fouling all plugs. It only takes about 20 mins to start dropping cylinders. I changed my carb and I leaned everything that can be leaned. I leaned my choke I turned the air/fuel idler screws almost all of the way out. After checking all spark plugs I found that all but 5 and 7 where fouled. Granted they didn't look new but they where runnable. I put on new plug wires, plugs. I need help on this guys.
Thanks
Adam

I think you have serious engine problems if fouling that quick. Have you done a compression check?

Post up a couple of good pics of the fouled plug.

The idle air mix screws should be turned IN FOR LEAN AND OUT TO RICHEN. not what you said.
I was told that they need to be turned out to lean it out. Are you 100% sure?
Thanks
Adam

I can confirm the more you turn those screws out the richer the mixture will become. Normal is about two turns out from bottomed out on these screws, IIRC.

Well I think I found my problem.
Thanks

I talked to the mech. that works on my truck when i'm not and he said that I had the carb way rich. So i'm going to back it off and see what happens. I'm wunning a new edelbrock 600 cfm Performer carb.
I will work on it tonight after I get my new bed side installed
Thanks
Adam

I found my problem my new carb is bad....well one of the air/fuel screws broke off in the carb. Instead of changing the needle i'm just going to get a new carb (FREE by the way.....lifetime Warranty).
Thanks
Adam

Sorry you had a bad experience with the 600 cfm edelbrock, I put one on my truck and it required almost no adjustment form the start. It has proven a great carb, for street use. I have not used it off road yet. I have herd it dose have some problems used off road. At some point I will probably switch to a better off road carb, until then Edelbrock rocks I love my carb! I also found there installation instructions to be pretty good.
I hope your next carb runs like a champ!
cheers
Matt
