But I think I P**** off the guy. He thinks he has a gold mine. AZ will have to contact him and get the numbers off it.

1977 CHEVROLET BLAZER CHALET-THIS IS AN ORIGINAL GM BUILT -VERY RARE-ONLY 1800 BUILT. THIS BLAZER CHALET IS VERY RUSTY , BUT VERY RESTORABLE. NO RUST THRU ON FRAME-ONLY SHEET METAL RUST THRU. RUNS WELL-NEVER DRIVEN-YOU CAN SEE BY THE PICS THE TOP DOES GO UP FOR MORE HEAD ROOM ON INSIDE.

He has a buy it now for $2,000.00 hell I would put that in a CUCV Only thing that is worth anything to me is camper. More pics on ebay but I can't get them to load here.

as much rust as that has, its ready for the scrap pile in my book. pull that chalet top off and put it on a different ride.

It's be pretty cool to put it on a suburban.

i put a low-ball bid on it. if anyone else buys it for the camper, let me know, i'll buy the blazer that is under it.

..thinks he has a gold mine. AZ will have to contact him and get the numbers off it..
*sigh* The 'gold mine' aspect of this is annoying in various guys I've run across. Condition = value, basically how much or little is needed to make one of these equal to benchmark prices for ones that were in really good shape....

This Trenton Ohio one is serial #0567, he didn't mention the build date, but my spreadsheet pile for this range of numbers puts it at Aug '76. No guarantee of that, the Chinook company did not exactly have consistent dates vs. serial #s.

If the seller contacts me again, I'll prod him about the glovebox RPO tag, to double check if shows the Chalet 16T5 option. The VIN says it is a '77 via dremu's VIN checker, and the other orange/tan '77 Chalet on eBay has a '76 model camper which I am reasonably certain is factory original. The Ohio one might not be...... are those '76 stainless trim pieces with black paint?

Speaking of dremu's Concord CA hometown, there's the #0983 for him (hint) for sale on eBay, pic below, it migrated there from Mills River NC earlier this year.

I should also mention there is a Craigslist ad popping up from LA to Florida, all pointing back to a '76 Chalet in Marion Indiana. That one is #0600, the seller has just gotten a bit more aggressive in trying to find a buyer....

I got the nerve to send him another email. I asked about the camper condition and if front windows leak. He is nuts!

the inside is complete and good shape for its age not all torn up.the windows do not look like they leak .I would sell just the camper for 1200 dollars .but this was built as one unit .THANKS

:doah:

someone correct me, but isn't it fairly easy to remove the camper and put it on another blazer?
