Found a cool OBA setup

That is a lot of money for on board air. How much you going to use it? How often ?

I have like $100 only because I bought a $60 air compressor from HF for the tank and gauges.

i had a york compressor on my jeep and used it a lot, actually thats the thing i miss most about the jeep. have wanted to put one on the blazer but not giving up the air conditioning. i would also like to put one on the crew cab

While not "renewable", have you considered CO2?

If it's just airing up and down, one tank lasts quite some time. At ~$20/fill, the brackets alone from that kit are the equivalent to 13 fills. I figured out that one 20lb(pretty sure that's what I'm running) would roughly be able to add 20PSI to twenty-two 33x15 tires.

Only "problem" I have is if you just need a ton of air regularly. I converted my fuel/water trailer over to pump via pressure, and the 3x 55-85 gallon tanks take a lot of CO2 to pressurize as they get low.

If you are just wanting brackets check these out. a compressor and tank can be sourced relatively cheaply.

I run the little shop mfg on a 6.0 with AC. I'm not a huge fan of the way that it uses the alternator mount as a bolt hole. The issue is that the factory alternator bolt is shouldered. It actually broke the bolt that was supplied to use for the alternator bolt replacement which is not shouldered. This was during use. I tried to find a shouldered bolt that was long enough to replace it, but nowhere local had anything even close. I ended up trying to turn in a correct diameter bolt so there was no slop, but broke the aluminum accessories bracket due the bolt being a smidge too big. I freaked it until I realized here were accessory brackets for $20 on fleabay. Ordered one up and drilled out the mount to fit the bolt. No issues since.

Sorry for the ramble, I can get more detailed if you didn't understand.

Overall, the kit is nice and the 210 York is the bees knees. I haven't landed on a tank yet, though.

Ignore my rant about the alternator bolt hole. Not sure if it will apply to yours, as I didn't pay attention to the pre-vortec link. Mine is on an LQ4.

What a nice alternative to the Airboss stuff! Thanks for the link! I will be ordering one of their Duramax kits for the Escalade. I've been trying to convince Kilby to ship his crap to Canada but he still refuses. These guys have a kit that fits my needs way better and is half the price.
