Found a GM 9.5 9 1/2 LOCKER Eaton 14 bolt Semi floater

Is this thing any good? I saw it on eBay going cheap for a locker?

I run one and it works good for me. The 14B s/f version is way better than the 10-bolt version. It is the only locker that acts nicely on icy roads witout costing big $$. That being said, I didn't know anybody paid money to get one. Most people would choose a Detroit or lock-rite instead.

$250 + $40 is silly. Buy the whole axle for less...

Same problems as the 10 bolt, except haven't heard of split cases. Need to inspect the gear teeth on the flyweight and the carrier the entire way around, as it only takes one tooth to make it worthless as a locker. The one in my 14SF when I bought it was shot because of this.
