Found another problems need help ASAP

Today I was driving home from work, when I heard a noise coming from the back, kinda like a dragging sound it was pretty loud, I got home and I jacked up the rear wheels on two stand I put the truck in drive and let the wheels go I found the noise coming from the pumpkin, I tought it was from the u-joint that's been breaking but that looks fine, also I noticed that when I put the truck in reverse I have my foot on the brake pedal and the rear left tire keeps spinning I cant seem to stop it, not too fast but seems like the brake doesn't stop it, but in drive it does stop, I noticed something else that seemed weird, in drive and reverse only the rear driver's side wheel spins I guess normal but the passenger side kinda draggs or it's hard to turn, what could be causing this, and would it have anything to do with the noise inside the pumpking, I want to thank the guys who took the chace to read this book, and responded, thanks.

pull the drums and check the brakes.check all the hardware

That's what I was thinking, but lets say if it's the brakes would I hear the noise inside the pumpkin cause that's where the noise is coming from.

what kind of noise? growling like a bearing noise? or a crunhing noise like spider gears breaking apart! may have to pull diff cover.

it sounds more like a bearing noise not growling, it doesn't sound like something broke off, sounds more like a wigle sound you know if you go wigle wigle alot of times I know it sounds stupid but that's the only way I can explain it, like I said before it's my first 4x4 truck and I really dont know how it sounds when your gears break, the bearing noise yea cause I replaced the front ones already, I hope this helps

would check the brakes first (don't forget parking-break),
maybe the sound stopps.
If not open the diff and have a look for broken teeth.
