found my axle ratio but also found this

ok i tried finding out my axle ratio by jacking up one side, put tcase in N and count how many times the drive shaft spins if you spin the wheel twice...and it was 3 and 3/4 so i have 3.73s....cool....but in doing that i saw this....when i spun the wheel you could see the thing where the red arrow points is (not sure of name) spin it look as if it was warped....did i find another problem?

No problem. It's just a slinger that's there to help keep mud and rocks out of the pinion seal.

It can be as bent as you want, as long as it doesn't rub on things.
