I found someone to cut the roof off my 90 k5 and weld my replacement on.. my question is, if the truck sits for a period of time without a roof on it, will anything buckle or sag?

No it should be fine. I’d leave the doors on while doing the job, if it sags you’ll know by how well or poorly they close plus they can help line up the new roof during installation.

always square up the body / doors / other parts first . tack weld in bracing side to side and make a cage to hold it . then do work .

friend has a truck he is painting for a guy for cheep and the cab is so jacked up the 1 door is 3/4" out at max inward adjustment . no one squared the cab before floors and rockers and other panels got cut out .

extra bit of time now = hr's and hr's of saved labor later .

Time to go full convertible?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see you have 2 of the same thread.
