Not sure where to post this.
Was working at an addition on Chuck Nash Chevy service dept today. The lift guy showed up to start getting it ready. Got to talking to him. He said he replaces lifts for upgrades and what not all the time. They take the old lift and go through replace rebuild as needed and sell them. He said $1800. So thought I would share his info if anyone is interested.

He sounded like he doesn't have them on hand. He said he gets them all the time though.

My friend got a hardly used Rotary 2 post lift last year ,installed at his shop for $2500,which included removal of his previous lift,a worn out old "Global" p-o-s that almost got him killed a few times..

The guy who sold him the lift & installed it said he often gets used lifts that were not used daily from new homeowners that bought a house with a lift in the garage or work shop ,or a business that serviced their own fleet---his came from a landscaping business and looked like brand new---he sells & installs them for between $1500-$2500 depending on the brand and how difficult the install will be (not including any possible floor or slab reinforcement)..

I would like to get one someday, before I get too crippled up to work on my own vehicles--that day is probably already passed though,as far as doing it outside lying under the truck..but if I had a lift,I could do a lot more, and my truck wouldn't be a jerry rigged death trap..a lift is very handy when you need to pull the bed off a truck, much easier than using an engine hoist..
