I'm kindof new to all of this. When I put my 85 K5 Blazzer in 4-wheel drive the drive shaft engages but the front wheels aren't engaging. Any quick or inexpensive fixes out there? -Mike

Ya my guess is your front hubs are toast. Buy a new set of hubs and never look back, auto hubs are good but I would rather lock them myself. I thought Warn hubs were good until I toasted them, now I am using mile marker and I love them. Just a heads up.

the autos were garbage even when new

if thats whats on it then its no wonder

get manuals on it asap

good luck

There are always a lot of manual hubs on ebay, click HERE. I run Superwinch in my K5. They've been in there for about 5 years now without a single problem. Ebay has plenty of new and used sets. :D

My buddy had something similar happen....

The front driveshaft was turning but he only had 2wd :eek1:

Turned out he's stripped the slip-spline on the front driveshaft. :o

the local parts store stocks the warn standard hubs for $65, i bought some warn premiums for $73 from a buddy of mine who sells them.
