My truck has been out of comission for like 7 years, but I've been trying to get it up and running again.I drained out the bad gas,put in new FP,new computer, rebuilt TB,new ign. switch. When I turn the key I dont here the fuel pump kick in.I traced back and checked all wires but every thing looks OK.What am I missing?

There is a fuel pump relay somewhere to check, but the best approach would be to get a multimeter on the wires at the pump, and make sure there is 12v power.

if there is.....its time for a fuel pump.

I just got done checking the relay. Now I got fuel But she wont kick over.My spark seems weak.I already put on a new modual awhile back, new starter, battery.Could the new modual go bad from trying to jumpstart all day long with the old battery?MY coil is original.I thought if coil is bad you get NO spark at all?Spark is weak on every plug!every time I try to start they just get all wet.:dunno:

IIRC the spark from the coil could be weak. If the coil is on its way out..
Best thing to do. Pull the coil and test it, or have it tested.

Well I just bought new coil, plugs, wires,C&R,and wire that goes from coil to modual(old one was like swiss cheese from the test light). If this dont work,I dont know what to do:doah:

OK, so I got new coil, plugs, wires, C&R,ECM,IGN. switch.I got fuel spraying.According to the blinking cel light and the book,I got no distributor.Any Ideas?

Well, theres your problem right there.

Go to the junkyard and get a distributor and put it in.........:eek1:

Seriously, what code is it blinking?

Have you checked/replaced the module inside the distributor?

Yes, I got a new modual also. But heres what happened,I put on all the new parts. The truck fired right up! I had it running for 30min to burn off some seafoam that I sucked in the vac line. After 30min I shut it down to cool off so I could change the oil. While It cooled off,I started to bolt back up the gas tank straps and skid plate, because I also did FP and assembly. Now, my driveway is pretty steep,so when my gas tank was hanging down the tank was level. When I put the tank back up, the $10 gas that I put in the tank went to the front of the tank.:sign7:My pump was sucking air:doah:What I cant figure out is why my cel came on and got a no distributor code:dunno:Everything is fine now,no codes and runnin smooth. My truck was sittin for 7 years at our farm.Only 56,780 mile, but the seal in the cap (weatherstripping) was leaking. Now I have to fix the rust holes in the floor. And I got alot of mold on the dash and vinyl seats that I need to wash up.Thanks for the ideas:waytogo:
