Well in lieu of proper fundage I am doing what I can for progress . Dave and I cleaned up the the very rear frame , chopped it where the tailpan mounted , trimmed the bumper mounts , and mounted the bumper so the brackets butted up to the spring hangers . Gonna do a section of frame at a time until shes prettier . Can't wait to get a welder and start with the floor and cage :D

Check out the Bumper , Harley ( hossbaby50 ) fabbed it up for me . Pretty stout and has a 2 inch receiver flush mounted so I do the pin from underneath . Definitely much thicker walled than teh stamped steel crossmember that was back there:pimp:

I didn't measure , but the offending protrusion is in the first pic . Got to be nearly a foot and a half , maybe a little less :D

should have brought it back even more and used it to mount a fliped shackle to :D

This is a cheap project . Only paying for what is needed for safety or what I can't find . I went 2 1/2 rear springs and 2 inch fronts . Who needs LIFT when I am running just a dash , window and 2 seats . I can fit any size tire I can afford and not rub anything

Harley has the same thing , but with wrap around ends for full bodied trucks . I like it , and way less than a " ordered-welded-in-a-jig-like-everyone elses " bumper :D
