Does anyone know if the frame brace for the steering box will work with a front mounted trailer hitch?

way out of the way . should be smooth sailing for sure .

the main brace goes behind the crossmember and the tiny one is no bigger than the factory one if it had one factory .

Somewhere in the early 80's (don't think it was '81 with the frame change) GM started using a small triangular brace that tied one steering box mounting bolt to the front crossmember. This is why the ORD brace is offered without the small bracket.

Huh. I have an '88, I'll have to go look.

My blazer has the little brace as mentioned.

Agreed now that you mention it my 91 has a brace that connects the C channel frame to the crossmember.
