i have not seen this exact question asked, but the general subject has been mentioned plenty of times. does GM have any published specs for frame flex on blazers? i know any frame flexes some and old ones will do it more, but it wouldn't hurt to know the limits that gm originally set for them.

....and just out of curiousity, how would such a specification be stated and what would the units of measure be?

i'm thinking in terms of degrees, milimeters, etc. of deflection from straight, or a possibly measuring each side or end in relation to another. i'm not an engineer or in posession of such specs...which is why i asked :p: .

Only measurements I've seen that GM published are to check that the frame rails are straight. That's what all the "extra" holes in the frame are for.

As mentioned, frame flex would be very hard to control without some sort of machine that moved the axles X amount, while monitoring frame position.
