I was checking my tie rods for end play and noticed a lot of frame flex from the steering box. When the steering is rocked the frame flexs and the axle moves front to back....a lot of the axle movement is from the shot bushings in the leafs....I don't see any cracks around the steering box or in the frame .....Im looking at the steering box brace kit made bt ORD .....anyone notice frame flex in there truck or use this kit?
Thanks

yes i think we all have some frame flex issues an the ORD brace is a must.

How about the weld in repair kit?

How about the weld in repair kit just for extra support? Even if I don't have cracks , should I weld it the repair kit? How about boxing the frame rails ..
Thanks

You won't know if you have cracks in the steering box area until you pull the box off and check THOROUGHLY...

Use the ORD Weld On kit (including the rear triangulating brace) and you'll be in much better shape....for most people, this is as much as you'll have to do.

Replace those worn bushings too... ;)
