Is the Blazer frame the same as a short box truck frame? I know we've had this talk before but, I've slept since then.:doah::D

How much shorter? Any idea? Because I've extended my wheelbase about 8 inches on the Blazer, when I did the 64 inch spring swap w/ shackle flip.

Awe screw it am I going to have clearance issues if I lose the blazer tub and drop on a crew cab? Just thinking out loud.

Frames are different shapes are they progress along the length, it's not just a wheelbase thing. Body mounts are different in different locations as well.

Probably have to channel the rear part of the Crew Cab floor and get creative with the rear body mounts. I know a guy that dropped a CC cab on a short box frame and he had to do the body channeling. A K5 frame could be better or worse depending on how the frame rails rise or don't. The later K5 frame might be OK due to the rear floor area being same level as the front floor.

The extra 8" of wheelbase will definitely help.

Please do it! Its a great idea!

Crewcab frame and nothin but a toolbox on the last foot with a spare mounted straight up!

If I had the money and place to tear my truck down I would definitely do it.
