Is a blazer frame the same as a short bed pick up. And will a suburban frame work for a long bed? The reason I'm asking is I'm thinking of pulling the blazer off the frame and putting a pickup cab on and building a rack. And putting my 2wd Chevy on my 4wd suburban frame. Let me know your thoughts and thanks

nope blazers are different in the back half, but I think a cab would bolt onto the blazer frame, you may have to adjust for the p/u cab rear mounts to bolt onto the blazer frame

all diffrent frames .

can do pickup cab on blazer with custom rear mount . called trazer .

and some have done crew cab on burban frames .

Ok thanks for the info. I guess I'll build the blazer and just pull the top if I need a truck. Or build a custom box behind the cab if I decide to go that route.

Yep,all the frames are similar, but are different...Suburbans have a slightly shorter wheebase than an 8 foot pickup does (I think the burb has 129.5" WB and the trucks were 131.5"--K-5's were only 104.5" VS 117.5" for a shortbed pickup)....I have seen some guys take a rotted out Suburban and use a truck cab on the frame from it by adding rear cab mounts from a pickup frame and made a custom flatbed for the rear,it makes a nice flatbed for hauling hay, firewood,or towing 5th wheels...
