Is it necessary on 1 ton frames?
Im at the point in my build to install the steering box after porting and rebuilding it.
On my last truck ( a half ton frame ) I used ORD frame plates for the steering box but the 1 ton frame is much thicker.
Have you guys seen these frames crack at the box like the 1/2 tons?

bolt in brace should be 100% in all these trucks min.

seen 1ton's crack there also.

plus like i have said before it makes the steering feel and handle much better.

and with crossover its basicly required.

The one ton chassis I bought for the axles had the frame repaired. They crack just the the others

I think it has more to do with the pressure angle, than the frame thickness....

Meaning, brace required.

My truck is gonna run cross over with hydro assist and 40 inch tires.
If you guys have seen these frames crack at the box, Im gonna build a brace and x member.
Thanks for the reply's
