I need an honest opinion. In all this repair and replacement of components and especially replacement of the motor, I have noticed that my framerails don't seem to be level. In fact I think the front is tweeked a little. I noticed this a long time ago, but I honestly thought it was just the bumper and bumper mount that were jacked up. Here's what I have:

Mabye, y'all can help. Is this something that can be straightened or is the whole frame shot? If it can be fixed, do I have to remove everything from the fron end?

I'd hate to go through a bunch of trouble fixing this truck and put on a winch bumper only to find out its crooked.

If it happened due to my driving it hard, I wouldn't mind as much, but during the build, this kinda makes me mad.

Thanks for any help you can give.

C-channel frames bend... they just do, I have cracked, bent straightend welded and plated mine... I actually have another k5 frame sitting out back... I just dont want to have to mess with swapping over and re welding stuff... once this one gets even more wasted I will be making it into a tube buggy.
gabe

imo, take it to a body shop and ask them, they'l be able to look at it and tell you what they think.

I had mine straightened after I bought it. It still sits high on one side by about 1". I have since boxed it in places prone to cracking etc.

Go find a shop with a frame rack and have it pulled strait. Prolly cost around $300. After its all (relatively) strait, add some support to the area that was bent.

That's probably a pretty good estimate. I used to work in a body shop that had a frame rack. They've fixed worse looking vehicles!
