I really did not want to crawl under the frame to sand and paint it. Came up with the idea, I'm probably not the first person to do this, to use two engine stands and make a rotisserie for the frame. Had to do a little bit of brainstorming to come up with the way to mount it to the frame and stand but once I figure that out the rest was easy.

are you going to box the frame and are you worried about the frame getting out of square or twisting? I have a traditional rotisserie that I intend to put put my frame on to media blast and box it and I was cautioned that if I needed a frame support with the frame to keep it square. Am i being to cautious?

The frame has 5 or 6 crossbraces. If it twists while on a rotisserie then youre screwed on a back country road. I don't have any twist while on the rotisserie.

I don't believe you, Zombie - I'm looking at that skinny fellah sitting on your frame and he's obviously twisting around just fine! :D

I'm starting to think I'm going to have to get the body off, what all did it take you to accomplish that?

I just cut the old rust body off... Kept some body parts to sell and the rest went to recycle plant.

If you weld on the frame without supports it will be all kinds of twisted when your done.
While I understand warping with heated metal from welding, I'm pretty sure the localized heat won't twist the frame. I don't intend to run a 3ft bead. I was planning on 6" segments... Cool then run more. Kinda like welding body panels. Short runs with cooling breaks. The frame is plenty supported with the cross braces.
