frame shortening

I'm sure somebody here has shortened a frame before? Or is there a build thread out there that I missed where a frame was shortened? What's the difficult part in doing all of this?

i take it you are talkign about taking a section out of the center of the frame such as going from a long bed to short bed?

I just cut 5'7" off mine. Be a little more specific please.

Yes, a regular cab long wheel base into a reg. cab short wheel base. I found a decent 2wd truck for cheap but its a long bed and I wanna go to short bed. 79' model.
