Just wondering my 73 blazer needs a new frame. are the 73-75 frames different than the 76 and up frames or do i have to find a 73-75 frame. cause i really need to get it back on the road. thanks Vince

Not too sure about the exact years, but small changes were there. Nothing you cant fix with a welder. If you can, get a SWB 4x4 frame and some 2" box tube. Ditch the saddle bag tank(s). Just make sure you keep the titles to both vehicles. I KNOW that there are less frame mounts in the 1st gens than the second gens.
I think 73-76 are all the same frame (basically) then 77 up to '91 K5's changed the floor of the tub and the frame to match it. I know where there is a $25 1975 K5 in the Seattle area if you want info on it... Just shoot me an email at n9phw at yahoo dot com /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Um, actually 73-77 K5 frames are the same; the rear seat changed for 1978+. Just to be precise.
