1/2 ton status
Did the blazers, particularly second gen, have different fames? As in 1/2 ton, 3/4 and 1 ton? If not, will a one ton work with a blazer tub? I know you'd have to chop what hangs out the back but would the cab sit properly?

I think you saw it when it was kurts. It's mine now. He sold it to me in december 08. Its the one in my pics. Just rebuilt the 350 to 383, got some rims and new tires. Other than that it didn't really need anything.

Well, note that Blazers only came as 1/2 ton.
Lots of folks put pickup cabs on Blazer frames -- the so-called Trazers -- but IIRC the rear cab mounts are different. Going the other way is harder, because the Blazer tub expects the rear axle hump a lot further forward than the pickemups. You'd have to chop some out of the middle, which is a bunch of work,
The other difference in frames -- beside the obvious length with single vs crew cab, etc -- is that the 1-ton frames are taller than the 3/4's and 1/2's.

I was thinking it would be thicker. Which would be the point. To have a stronger frame. Sounds like too much work when boxing might give the strength needed.
