Hey guys, I am kinda running low on $ right now, SO I was wondering yall knew of any free or cheap mods to do.

post anything!

I keep meaning to reduce weight on the '74, to increase fuel economy, and assist in wheeling.

I need to take the top and tailgate off.

I could just wash the thing, which judging from the crap on it would reduce weight by 100 pounds alone /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

Home made shackle flip in the rear and 52's up front. Both should net you about 4" lift and not much money spent. Course then you need 35's or bigger to go on.

Here's one.

A lot of it depends on what your fab abilities are. If you have a welder you could make sliders. The tubing cost me about $30.

Another option is local you-pull-it yards. Sometimes I just walk around and get inspiration for ideas. (I know, I need /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif) And the parts there are usually cheap. I've picked up nice bucket seats for $25ea, just to name one thing.

A couple of ideas for ya! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

heck, check out the thread on the factory bumper mod...looks sweet, I may do it myself! all ya need is a die grinder and some well placed lines to follow...improves your approach angle if you off road much...
