sort of,,,i filled up my(huge optional) gas tank on my `87 350 TBI motor'd K/5 and it's leaking where the sending unit/fuel pump goes in,,,must have a restrictor in the neck(can't siphon or even get a hose wet) and from reading here(it appears) the electric pump only cycles for 2 seconds, witch I THOUGHT would drain my tank no problemo, just pulled the hard line off at the filter,i am getting a slow drizzle= WHOOPIE!,,,,tried pressurizing the tank with an air hose and rag to get it running out but in 100F heat i'm a little antsi about sparks and It LEAKS air anyway(that method works fine on a tight tank),,anybody have any clues on how to drain this dude?,,,,,,so i can fix it,can i bypass the OEM wiring with a hot lead and get the pump to run continuously (without hurting anything like some cormputer setting)or what:confused:

nothing like whacking a hundred dollar bill in the tank and then needing it to LEAVE:rolleyes:

prolly too late, but on the firewall by the fuel pump relay there will be a red wire hanging there, put power on it and it will power the pump.

Why don't you disconect the fuel fill hose from the tank. It is a little cramped but it should be accessable. Once removed drop a 3/8" rubber fuel line in the tank and siphon into buckets.

we got it!

now that's 104F i'm just about ready to drop it and fix the leaking gasket/seal area i'm only using to haul a trailer with it's not my DD,thanx for the tip Jason!,,,,,,,,,,,,and thank you MikeD:D
