I am going thru Twin falls next week, I'll take the top.
I would also take the driveshafts if no one wants them.

you aren't going to sell them are you?

The top I need.
The shafts will be for mods for my project truck if I ever get to it.
I only sell what I pay for, if I get something free here I give it back free.
And if you don't want to give them to me, no problem, they are YOURS.:waytogo:

come and get them! the getting something for free and then selling them just seems like a weasel move.

That's OK.
I will pass.
I usually will pick up anything that is given away free because when it doesn't get picked up, next step is scrap.
That means less parts available when needed.
I have held on to parts for 10 years, some got moved 4 times every time I moved to another house.
I store them, handle them and most times end up giving them away, some people feel indebted and they offer favors or even parts in return they don't need anymore.
I have no problem sleeping at night, and people here know me because I will never be a WEASEL, I will say how I got it, how much it cost me and if I want to sell for twice what I paid for it and it still is a good deal, they would buy it.
I just got a great deal on a truck, I said how much I paid for it, then parted it and sold the parts for more than double what I paid, the still bought them knowing my initial investment.
The biggest thing for me is saving the parts now for use later.
I saw so many people scrapping the tops because they take space and no one is buying them.
I just broke a window on a top I gave with blazer parts I sold.
I was going to use this top as a replacement, but I found another so thanks.

Post #11 is my post and how I think.

ok.... i was just trying to get rid of it to a cool guy. if they use it cool, sell it to a buddy for a deal or give it away what ever. i've just been running into a few #%^holes lately and hate seeing them get over.

I believe if you don't want something anymore and you give them away, then you don't have the right to decide if someone else can sell them or not. Not especially when stuff can be sold for cheap.

But like imiceman said in his quote, thats pretty much me with all the extra stuff being stored for years and moved around.

forget it, ill sell it on ebay....... i was just trying to help out a ck5 member.

I'm all for helping out fellow members here but when you make comments like you said above, thats a little low. Almost like you're not trusting him. Its almost sounding like you don't want to advertise so you'd rather someone else did and want them to split the profits with you.

But regardless, its your stuff and you can do with it as you please.

holly smokes, i just wanted to give it to a guy that needed a top but couldn't afford to buy one, and not to the guy that wanted to sell him one.

Ok, its water under the bridge now. Sometimes things are read differently on the 'net than how one interprets them. This could be one of those cases. No worries anymore. Do what you want with your stuff.
