Pinion brakes get really, really hot fast and IMO are not safe at all on the street. Remember that you're now asking one rotor instead of two to dissipate all the heat from the weight of the vehicle. I've seen people get them bright red just rock crawling, I sure as hell wouldn't trust that to stop me going down I70.
Also, haven't seen it mentioned, I don't think you'll clear a top loader axle like that with only 6" of lift.
