Can any one let me know what some of the lowest price freight companies are? I think almost a grand is kinda pricey for shipping. Mods, move if you need to, but this place gets the most attention. Thanks.

I used to use Freightquote.com, but now since I work for Fedex Freight I can get decent prices on shipping.

Where is the doubler set up coming from? Also, are you shipping it to a business or a residential address? If you can ship it to a business, then it will be best. If you are shipping it from back east, then you need to use someone like FedEx Freight, UPS Freight, Conway, USF (Holland, Reddaway, etc) or Yellow Roadway Corp (YRC). These carriers cover the entire country and their rates are lower than regional carriers.

It is way back east and yes it will be shipped to a business. Thanks for all the input guys, it is helping! I know it isn't going to be cheap by any means, but if I can find a place that will ship for closer to $300 rather than 1k, I'd be happy.

We ship and receive LTL freight almost daily.
One of the companies we use is C H Robinson. They broker freight through most of the national carriers, and are usually the cheapest around. Only occasionally are they on the high end.
Give me the ZIP codes for both the origin and destination, total weight (including packaging, pallet, etc.), and rough dimensions.
I'll see what I can come up with.

They are cheap for a reason!! I'm dealing with them now on a damaged $1.4 mil motor they hit a bridge with...Now instead of building my 60 I have to fly to Texas:mad: I hope to never deal with them again:doah:

We have used them for the last two+ years with zero problems. They just broker the LTL freight to national and larger regional carriers, such as FedEx Freight, Conway, YRC, ect., and don't actually handle any LTL freight themselves.
Now if you are talking truckloads, that's a whole different story! They usually have some of the cheapest rates and sometimes that's reflected in the service.

you might look up D + R trucking in Pratt Ks. They are a ltl carrier and very reasonably priced. I dont know where in colorado you are located but they go to Denver all the time.

Oops didnt notice nevada. Still might be worth a shot they go out west alot also.
