FREKIN A HEX WRENCH

Ok Im helping this girl out, doing her brakes for her jeep. NONE of my hexes fit, i go and try to buy a new, complete set, nothing fits this stupid thing it is about 2 hairs smaller than a 1/4 and the things are a bit stipped out. Its there anything I can do about it?

On our XJ it's a torx, not a hex. Can't remember what size though...it's been a while.
