In the new edition of Off-Road Adventures in the back on page 66 is page for the readers rigs. Well a guy named bryan has a 85 k5. He replaced the 415sb with something and added a Dana 70 in the rear and a 12 bolt in the front and he dosent even know what gear ratio he put in it.

ok now heres more. This is in the very back the question section. A guy wants to put a 6.6 duramx in his 82 3/4 ton chevy. Has a 383 and built th400. Now the pro at 4wheel parts say that the durmaz will eat his th400 for a snack and that his rear 14bolt is a little to light for the durmax.
???????????

4wheel parts are idiots. 14 bolts come in the new d-max's. They are slightly bigger (11.5" ring gear vs. 10.5") but the d-max wont eat that rear. Maybe with 49's.
