Front and Rear Diff Identification

does the front axle have locking hubs ?

if so lock them in and retry .

seen lots of people mix match and think locking hubs = good on NON modified 203 .

otherwise the shifters on the 203 get cranky and dirty and out of adjustment.

It does have front hubs. The first time I troubleshot this i had the hubs locked. Today the hubs were unlocked. In both situations I had the same results.

Is this case something I can rebuild on my own? I don't have a press, but I'm a very capable guy with plenty of hand tools. I'm just asking because i was thinking about pulling the case. I thought is replace some seals, the chain, and do a mile marker conversion. I suspect I have some worn components causing a clunk. In any event, if I'm pulling it, id like to address the shifting situations while I'm in there.
