I'm suspecting this is a typical thing, although this is my first IFS 4x4, so getting used to this 'center section' crap is weird. Anyway, while paying around at Big Dogs a few weeks ago, I noticed that my front axle would no longer engage. It had been engaging all day long up to this point (I was going in and out of 4wd depending on where I was), and then I noticed the light indicator wasn't coming on when I was putting the shifter into 4wd, but I knew it had been lighting up earlier in the day.
I have the manual shift 231. So, WHAT EXACTLY went wrong with the truck? Actuator on the center section? If so, would an actuator off a 1/2 ton 4wd be interchangeable with these trucks?
Oh, yea, and this is mostly for my education. Unless I can fix it for a case of beer and a burrito, I won't. Keep in mind, all this is getting cut out for D60's before too long.
