...o.k., I'd like to share some info I have found doing my "research"...

We have all seen these seals, by Alloy USA...

I e-mailed them, the o.d. is 1.991". They just get r.t.v.'ed in place.

I am preparing to rebuild my 10 bolt front, and I do not know exactly what the I.D.of the tube is yet...

BUT, I found these "adapters" that will step the diameter down if needed, along with another type of seal for a D44 front...actually, someone posted these here some time back...I couldn't find the thread to give them the credit-sorry  -clicky-the website

I think I prefer the first type, as it is greaseable...I hope I can make them work...be nice to keep the chit out of the tubes, I think...

what say they experts...?:dunno:

yes, but he's talking about sealing them on the outside too, to keep crap from getting into the tubes. As long as they seal right, otherwise they may just hold water in.

It only matters if you are a mud bogger or water guy. I'm neither really, so I haven't done much researching on these. What water I go through is quick and clean, so I'm not worried about it.
