...o.k., I'd like to share some info I have found doing my "research"...
We have all seen these seals, by Alloy USA...
I e-mailed them, the o.d. is 1.991". They just get r.t.v.'ed in place.
I am preparing to rebuild my 10 bolt front, and I do not know exactly what the I.D.of the tube is yet...
BUT, I found these "adapters" that will step the diameter down if needed, along with another type of seal for a D44 front...actually, someone posted these here some time back...I couldn't find the thread to give them the credit-sorry
-clicky-the website
seals
adapters: for 2.25 tube
for 2.375 tube
I think I prefer the first type, as it is greaseable...I hope I can make them work...be nice to keep the chit out of the tubes, I think...
what say they experts...?
