okay, i am trying to familarize myself as I learn more. So starting from the driveshaft, what is next, starting from the middle of the axle, to the outside. Like all this inner and outer axle shafts or sometihng. it's really confusing me. And what parts are upgraded for strength. etc. Oh, and if it really matters, I am talking about a GM d60.
Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

Is there a specifc on for axles? I have a haynes manual for a blazer, would it have it in there? Thanks

I don't have a dana 60, but I downloaded every page from the spicer book just to add it to my collection of literature/photos . Its too much to e-mail you, but I will try to find the link so you save each page . /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

If you have the Haynes manual that covers your Blazer it should also cover 1 ton trucks and there is a lot of info in there. If its the same one I have look in Chapter 10 "Steering and suspension systems". Has diagrams of front ends and detailed diagrams of the hub assemblies of all the axles. If you have to work on one it gives you torque specs and step by step instructions for all the common things.
