Is a 2500 and 3500 front ifs axle housing and axles a direct swap into a 1500?

or would i need the wheel bearings, knuckles, axle housing ,cv shafts, u-joints?

ifs is what it is from factory .

way to much to swap / modify / make work on ifs stuff like that.

frame brackets / front end a-arm brackets all diffrent. then knuckles and wheel bearings diffrent.

thats crap, i really hate this truck. love the body style hate everything underneath (except the motor)

thats what i want to do.

i want to use a half ton axle, cause i dont need a dana 60 for what i do and i can get an axle to match my already install 10 bolt rear.

I talked to sky-manufacturing and they done have any hangers or brackets that fit a 2005 silverado 1500.

I want to get all necessary pieces before doing the swap since it is a daily driver.

I havent found bracket kit that will work....2500 kits will not work- different frames..

i just asked that to see if it could be beefed up.... this may be a multi month project.

I also have to keep it low for legal street use

check with ORD?

just saw it is a 2005...gonna have to get creative here...

they only do upto '98.. already checked with them... all of the kits from my era are for 2500 and up

Keeping it low with leafs might be hard. Considered going coils and links?

Easier to stay low

I am not a fan of anything with any kind of coil spring. more geometry problems, not a link fan, since more ponts of failure, more welding then necessary, might be caster adjustability but can cause death wobble. (i look at the jeep theory).

(my experience with coils and opinion on it), i had my ball joints brake on my lifted 2wd dodge, and that coil spring wrecked alot of the truck (wheel took the knucle with it and coil shot out of the bucket into the fender, taking the upper control arm, bumper aswell) anyways, i could

im trying to keep it simple, and hopefuly use stock blazer or k10 springs (I can use upto around 4 inch total lift-state laws), I am also not using a Dana 60, i am hopefully using a 10 bolt, so itll keep lift needs down. I also plan on using fiberglass fenders (or fenders that have a large raise in them) to accommodate tires.

If its going to cost me $2k for a good lift, alignment, and what ever else (not including tires) im just going to go and spend $3-4k on a SAS with leaves. already told sky-manufacturing that I would help with measurments if needed for a prototype kit.

I am gunna continue to search for a kit that fits ( it will be bolt on first--and have some welds placed for extra strength)
