Time has come to regear my 10 bolt. Im trying to make sure I have all the necessary tools as I'm doing a full rebuild, gear, locker, u joints, ball joints, seals, ect. I did the 14 bolt myself and have the tools to check measurements and torques.

Have the ball joint spanner wrench?
If not then I think most people get them from Snap-on but you can also make one out of a 13/16 (IIRC) deep socket in a few mins with a grinder.

Case spreader?
It's a steel frame that spreads the diff housing so that carrier bearings are preloaded properly.
Were only talking .010" of spread.
But the case spreader makes it easy without hammering or pinching shims.
Got mine on ebay.

Edit; it looks like a thisa;
(Its not a snapon tool.. that is just the junk i had to move to pry the spreader out of my camper tool storage area.)

There is also a tool that Torque King of Billings MT sells.
An axle tube inner seal installer.
For the front axle of course.
I'd have to do some digging.
But it really simplified installing the inner axle tube seals.
I'll go see if i can find it.
Somewhere in the shipping container storage..

Edit.. ahaaa!
Found the devil.

Actually glad i dug that out.
Gonna squirrel it away with the spreader in mah camper.
This time o year snowbilers break their sleds.
Sometimes they get desperate.
I try to help them.
But when im not here they go digging in the common areas for tools and parts.
They mean well.
But i would hate to see my inner axle seal installer become part of some guys dilapidated Skidoo!
Lockin er up.
