My truck was NOT equipped with dual shocks. These are the shocks that were sent to me.

Do I turn them upside rod/boot downwards?

What do I do with this offset bushing in the shock? Do I cut it?

Sorry for all my questions, I do search before asking.

The stock single shock upper mount uses a 1" spacer inboard of the shock eye from the factory (that tube extension is to compensate for the spacer). It's common for the upper , outer bracket to be bent somewhat out of shape when shocks are swapped and the spacer is left out, etc.. I'd bend the outer bracket out until it fits or you could measure and cut the extra tube.

ok, thanks! So i imagine they didnt have the spacer and when they installed these and tightened the bolts it sucked up the extra space in that location.

Yeah, that's a typical scenario.

I mounted my Bilstien 5100 shocks with the boot at the top because this helps to protect the boot from damage from rocks tearing them open. Those shocks are a bitch to install. I use a set of cam buckle straps to hold them to the proper length If I have to remove, and reinstall my Bilstein 5100 shocks.
