well I would show my build on my front bumper. It will not be anything fancy, just mainly strong, with a hint of flare:D

heres a couple pics of the rear bumper when I finished it.

with tire mounted ,

Heres what the front looks like now ,

The build is gonna consist of a push bar , fog lights and a peice of 2 x 6 x 1/4 channel. On with the build.

That turned out really nice. I am sure there is a thread about it, but can you give me some specifics as to what steel you used for the rear, and any measurements for the tire carrier and bumper? I would like to do something similiar for mine, as I want the spare out of the interior for room for my speaker boxes. Also, where did you get the hinge for the tire carrier?

The back bumper is a piece of 2 x 6 tube, I cut at the ends then welded up shut. I mounted it to the original brackets. The tire carrier is out of 2x2 sq tube. The spindle, I bought from ORD. Pretty easy build on a bologna budget. :D

The front bumper is made out of 2 x 6 channel, grooved at the frame points to accomodate the push bar. and the ends are cut and formed ( with a B.F.H ), welded amd grinded into a radius to follow the contour of the front. Also I cut the middle and rewelded it to also bend it to follow the contour of the front. The push bar was free and the channel was $32.00 so the front was a pretty easy and cheap build.

Nice work. I'm planning on building a rear bumper like yours, tire carrier and all. Where did you get the spindle?
