I built my front bumper in school and the only material I had at the time was 1/4'' plate. The bumper weighs in at 116 lbs. I have the ez rides up front, and I'm worried the combined weight of the bumper and bb is going to kill my springs in short order. I would like to hear what you guys with ez rides have up front and how your springs have held up.

I had a pretty stout bumper and winch on my K5 with some Rough country 2" springs and shocks. They held up fine, but when I removed the bumper with winch attached, the front of my truck raised up a good solid 1"-2". I soon went with a lighter tube style bumper with receiver hitch so I can remove my bumper. my truck only sees off roading 5-10% of the time, so I didnt need to be hauling around extra weight for DD.

buckstop.biz bumper , warn powerplant hd winch. piaa lights. the shipping weight on the pallet was just under 500 lbs. when install on k5 only sagged about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. pro comp 6 in front springs. I am guessing they are 3/4 ton springs way stiff. even if two 300 lb guys jump on it i barely get compression.lol Thinking about removing a leaf and see if it softens up a tad.
