Pulling my old engine and would like to pull the front clip and core support while leaving the fenders. This is possible correct? I just want to know before I get to far into it.

I've never done it that way...so I don't know if it's possible. It probably is, but if you look how the core support bolts to the fenders, there are some about the same ammount of bolts to pull the entire front end. Pulling the fenders too is only 5 bolts per side. Is there any reason you want to leave the fenders on?

The main reason I want to leave the fenders on is I have no real reason to take them off. It just seems like more work.:confused:

I really have no clue though as I have only pulled one engine before on a stock ride height K5. I did not put an engine back in that one as I will do on this one.

I think it may be less bolts to pull the support/fenders/inner fenders all as one. However, I don't really see the need to pull any sheet metal at all. Last time, I even left the hood bolted up. Just had stock size tires on the front to get it lower to the ground.

I got the core support out. It was not that bad. The main bolts holding the core support are almost half gone, they look worn. I will post a picture later.
