I have a 1980 Jimmy, and just got a 1981 1/2 ton GMC pickup free. I was wondering if the front clip is swapable and how hard is it? Thanks for your help.

im 90% sure the swap is possible, i have done a truck to truck swap and it took the better part of the day, just all the anoyying little details, getting stuck here or wont line up there etc. we had 3 guys doing it. with some air tools, mostly impact, be sure to get the bolts under the quarter panel behind the tires. we got stuck there until we found them hidden in there. anywho, goodluck!

Funny, I'm contemplating going the other direction. I have a '91 Sub and those puny headlights are THE dumbest idea GM ever had. On a dark desert road 70 mph is over driving them.
My 79's 'normal' headlights are good to beyond as fast as I'll ever likely need to go. Call it 90+
So I'm toying with putting the 79's clip on the '91. Biggest trouble is white '79, black '91 though the '91 could stand a coat of paint......
